"Most of the artwork in this house was made by my mom. She's a great traditional artist, and spends a long time painting, weaving fabric, and making soapstone sculptures of Arctic animals like the polar bear. She also makes things out of stones like serpentine, giving the sculptures different colours like green. It's really unique, and you won't find art like this anywhere else! Here, let me take you around the house so you can see all of it." |

Sura leads you into the house hallway. You feel like you're in an art museum! Sitting on the shelves are handcrafted sculptures of a woman carrying a child, a man with a spear, and a wandering polar bear. They all seem so fragile and beautiful that you are scared to touch them. |
